Balance & Aging in Place

Do you fear that you or someone you love may experience a fall? Did you know that falls are the number one preventable reason why seniors are hospitalized? Balance, like a muscle, can and will get better with the right training and exercises.

Most aging adults would agree that aging in place is the ideal. Living at home gives aging adults more independence and autonomy and comfort. Many senior living facilities can charge upwards of $5,000 per month, and aren’t fully covered by insurance plans..

Aging in place is a great option for a lot of aging adults if the proper preparations have been made to make the home safe, and also if that adult has taken the steps to prevent falls and to exercise routinely to maintain their strength.

Physiotherapy Works excels in creating custom exercise programs for each individual based on their goals. As well, our therapists are trained in balance and vestibular programs to reduce one’s risk for falls. Call us today to get you or your loved on on track to improving their balance and reducing their fall risk.

Orthopedics

Have you had a recent surgery that you are recovering from ? Or, are you suffering from chronic pain or a movement restriction that is keeping you from doing something you love? Physical therapy can help with that!

Physical Therapists provide assessment and treatments to restore, physical function and movement, wellness and quality of life as it relates to movement and health. What you need, above all, is a physical therapist who will take the time to really understand where your limits and pain are, and come up with a customized program to address those needs.

Another very important area of your therapy is education. At Physiotherapy Works your physical therapist will educate you on the specifics of your problem and what the course of action will be to correct it and hopefully prevent it from reoccurring.
